All Of You

Where is your “ALL”? Are you yielding to God or does sin have dominion over you?  Lead Pastor, Bill Godair, encouraged all under the sound of his voice to surrender to God as he ministered from Roman’s 6:13-23 during Sunday’s services.  The heart of Worship is to surrender.  Paul encourages us in Romans 12:1 to fully surrender our lives to God, presenting our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to Him which is our reasonable act of service.  Surrendering typically implies losing and is seen in a negative context.  Most would rather talk about overcoming, winning, conquering and succeeding than yielding, submitting, obeying and surrendering.    Surrender out of love and not fear.  God loves us so much that He sent His son to surrender and pay for our sins.  The image of true love is not expressed in our love for Him, it is obvious and perfected because God first loved us. (1 John 4:10)  True worship brings pleasure to God!  Are you “truly worshipping”  Him?

Many exercise and watch their diets to take care of their physical bodies.   What measures are you taking to strengthen and take care of your spiritual man?  What happens if you fail to take care of the spiritual man?  Your Soul Dies!  You can go into the house of God and worship, but what do you do when you leave?   The biggest loser is not the one who loses the most weight, it is the one who loses his soul!  True Worship brings pleasure  to God.  Are you “truly worshipping”  Him with your life?  It is amazing what He will do for us if we offer ourselves to Him.  God wants your life.  He wants all of it.  If He can get all of you, He can design and mold you into what He wants you to be.  Don’t allow the three barriers  1) Fear, 2) Pride and 3) Confusion to block you from totally surrendering to what God wants you to do and be.  CHANGE!!!!!  Things won’t remain the same when you give everything to God.  When you totally surrender you come to the END of yourselves and the beginning with God!  You transform into what our creator wants you to be.  How much of you does God want?  He wants ALL OF YOU!  Draw nigh to Him with your mouth and your heart and allow the Master Potter to mold your life into His Masterpiece!

Your Faith Can Conquer Everthing

Faith can conquer ANYTHING!  It can reach the unreachable, fight the unbeatable, remove the unmovable and stand against the invincible!

Mother’s Day 2012 at Cornerstone was filled with celebration, love and faith.  Lead Pastor Tina Godair ministered through her heart and allowed the Holy Spirit to speak through her.  She spoke of the “unfeigned sincere faith” referenced in 2 Tim 1:3-5 and referenced times in her life that required her to rely on God and not man.  Pastor Tina reminded the teenagers of their unlimited potential and encouraged the adults to acknowledge the things that God can do.  You have to believe that you have a God who loves you.  If He created you, He can heal you.  It all about the steps you take.  Keep walking and moving forward.  You have to choose…..lead or be led!  This may require you to develop personal choices and make sacrifices different from the people around you.  It requires you to give.  Don’t block your blessing by holding tight and telling God He can’t trust you to follow His word.  If your priorities aren’t in line, He won’t bless you!  He knows exactly where you are and sets divine appointments.  Prove to Him that He can trust you!  Stay on your Faith Journey and be ready and willing to receive.  Faith is something that you can’t see.  Develop a relationship with God so that He can guide and direct you.  He wants to lead you……. All you have to do is walk the path that He tells you to take.  If you don’t have God as your #1 source, then you are making a bad decision.  No matter where you are on your Faith Journey, you must position yourself around the right people.  Get behind your Pastor, position yourselves around your leaders, surround yourselves with people who love and respect you, and use your life illustrations to teach your kids and others.  Check Your Toes!  If they aren’t being stepped on then you may not be around people who love you enough to embrace and correct you.  The Pastoral staff love you and will push you along the way.  Sure! You will hit challenges along the way.  Tie a knot…..plant your feet and hold on.  Satan once told a 3-year-old she wouldn’t walk, an 11-year-old she would not be healed, a single mom whose husband left the family with bills and cut off notices that she couldn’t make it.  Her response was, “Oh Yes I AM! “ She stayed on her Faith Journey and placed God in control of her life!  She was a giver and showed Him that He could trust her.  She aligned herself with her Pastor and spiritual leaders who loved and pushed her through.  You too can Reach the Unreachable, Fight the Unbeatable and Remove the Unmovable……….   Will you stay on your Faith Journey and allow your faith to conquer Everything for you?

What Does Your Heart Chase?

Sunday’s at Cornerstone are Pumped!  Lead Pastors, Bill and Tina Godair, and the Cornerstone team enthusiastically led this past Sunday’s services to higher heights despite having a jammed packed week full of events and meetings.  Pastor Godair excitedly showed through scriptures (Gen 39:3, Deut 8:18, 30:8-10, Psalm 35:27, and 3 John 1:2) that  God desires for us to be blessed.  He encouraged everyone to understand that “God Loves You!”  If he cares for the birds in the air then there are no exclusions!  He will care for you too!  Your gender, nor your family name, nor the color of your skin matters.  God wants YOU to be blessed!  He wants it more for us than we want it for ourselves.  People want to change the circumstances, but don’t want to change their lives (John Maxwell).  God tells us in Matt. 6:33 to seek FIRST his kingdom and all will be given.  What are you seeking?  Luke 12:34 tells us that “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”  Your heart chases your treasure.  What treasures are you seeking?  What things are you leading your heart to?  Spend as much time on the spiritual man as you do on the physical man.  Spend time raising your kids so that the television, video games and social networks don’t teach and raise them.  The church can reinforce, but it can’t fix!  Some parents are losing the battle.  Some of you are content where you are, but God has so much more in store for you.  Forget Not the Lord your God!  Wealth and riches are in His house.  If you are not in the house, you are not in line to receive all that He has for you.  It’s all in the house!  Do you dwell in his house or is it just a meeting place a few hours a week? Do you want what God has for you?  Will you lead your heart to His treasures?

The Solution

Easter Sunday 2012 has come and gone and some are asking how the death, burial and resurrection affect their everyday lives. As bible filled believers, we must all realize that it is not an Easter Celebration but an EVERYDAY Celebration! On Sunday, the Event Center received a powerful message delivered by lead Pastor Bill Godair.  Pastor Godair revealed how Jesus’ death adds value to our everyday lives. Will you search for an answer if you don’t have a problem? Don’t wait until problems overtake you and you are empty to seek Jesus. Believe it now! Understand who God is on the cross!  He is Eternal, Everlasting and Dateless.  He is without beginning or end.

Whenever God forms a thing He fills it. This is as true today as it was during creation week. Through divine process, God filled the earth with good things. He made man in his image and breathed life into his nostrils placing man into time. God doesn’t create things that have a need before He creates the provision to sustain them. Would He create fish without giving them water? He already has a solution for every problem that you have. Having a need is a sign that provision from the Creator is on the way! You must be convinced that there is a higher power in order for you to get the solution. We are many times beaten so low and distracted by all the things going wrong around us that we forget about God’s promises. Everything that you need in the natural and the spirit has already been provided by God. You will never understand everything. Stop majoring in the minors and concentrate on yourself. Take responsibility for yourselves and stop blaming the devil and everybody else. God is Eternal, Everlasting and Dateless.  He is YOUR Creator…….are you convinced that your provision is on the way!

Discover Freedom: The Blood Has Power

Over 5000 people visited the Cornerstone Campus this weekend.  Lead Pastors Bill and Tina Godair and 300 Cornerstone volunteers welcomed about 3000 children and adults on Saturday morning to the first ever Family Fest which featured a helicopter egg drop and 20,000 toy and candy filled eggs.  Attendees were also able to enjoy inflatables, a dunk tank, car smash, rock climbing wall, special toddler’s area, live performances and puppet and dance illustrations of Jesus’ sacrifice for us. 

The weekend continued with a 7:00pm service Saturday night and two services on Sunday at 9:00am and 11:00am.   The 60 minute services were filled with powerful narration, song and dance depicting the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Pastor Godair encouraged those in attendance to receive Freedom from the strongholds that held them in bondage.   He spoke of the POWER of the BLOOD of Jesus and encouraged those in need to claim their Freedom.    The power of the Holy Spirit swept through the Event  Center as we paused from our order of service to welcome Him into our presence.  A powerful service, illustrating our POWERFUL GOD!  God came that you might have abundant life, in quality and quantity.  Be encouraged, put your hand to the plow and don’t turn back.  The world has nothing for you!  Jesus’ sacrifice and grace has made us free.  We must enter into Christianity wholeheartedly.  A liberating God cannot give birth to children in bondage.  Because of the blood, you are free; Free to run, dance, clap, and live for God.  Because of the blood, you can be Changed, Healed, Freed and Delivered!   Because of the Blood, nothing can shackle you again unless you allow it!  The BLOOD will never lose its power!  Freedom has been discovered………Will you walk in it?

 

Step In The Water

For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.  John 5:4

The season of Freedom has been ordained by God for Cornerstone  Campus.  Eddie James Ministries sparked the season during the midweek service two weeks ago.  Our Lead Pastors Bill and Tina Godair,  recognize God’s decree and has proclaimed  the next few weeks the “Freedom Season.  People are choosing to run to Jesus, choosing to step into the water and choosing to claim their freedom.  Cornerstone is in the “Freedom Season”!

On Sunday, Pastor Godair encouraged the packed Event Center to be careful of “spiritual decaying”.   You hurt yourself when you hang around decaying people!  We must all be careful of who we hang around; Even in the house of God!  A person once on fire and living with God can began to decay and “smell” due to negativity.  When something doesn’t smell right…..Don’t consume it……Throw It Away!  You must guard yourselves from rotten decaying people.  If not, you will begin to smell and their spirit becomes YOUR spirit!

Luke 8:26 gives a detailed description of a demon possessed man.  He had no clothing, no self control; He lived among the decaying and tormented himself.   Despite his decay, he recognized Jesus and chose to run to Him in worship.  He chose to step in the water.  You must run to Jesus!  It is not enough to “know” who He is you must SURRENDER to Him!  Despite His power; He will never make you do what you don’t want to do.  The preacher can’t save you. The bible tells you to save yourself.  Choose to stay with Jesus> Choose to fast and pray!  Somebody can do something to you, but they can’t do anything IN you if you don’t allow them!

You must be honest with yourself if you want freedom.  Just because you are in church today does not mean you will stay.   Just because you are fresh and on fire doesn’t mean you don’t have the potential to rot.  Judas was hand-picked by Jesus and allowed the evil spirit to take up root in him.  Something happened.  Everyone makes mistakes.  We all entertain decaying spirits.  Do you give up and allow it to take over?  Will you rot along with it?  Or will you turn from it and run to Jesus?  Don’t Quit!  You can’t control your seasons, but you can always run to Jesus.  Nothing is too hard for God!

The water is stirred at Cornerstone…… Step In and gain your FREEDOM!!!

Fish With A BIG Net!

Do you “know” God?   Are you strong?  Are you accomplishing brilliant/heroic acts or deeds? 

Cornerstone campus was all ears as Pastor Godair ministered and shed light on these questions during Sunday’s services.  Pastor Godair spoke from Daniel 11:32 and clearly explained that If you know your God you shall be strong and carry out Great Exploits! 

 The bible tells us of the great things sparked by Joseph and Moses.  We have detailed reports of Esters plight for her people and Paul’s quest to spread the gospel to the gentile world. God is not looking for ability, He is searching for availability! It’s not all about the heroic great figures.  He is searching for ordinary men and women like us.

The question is simple.  Who do you think will reach our children, mothers, fathers, work associates?  Who will impact our local cities and counties?  Are you sitting back and doing nothing as our children  and relatives fall into cults, gangs, jail…….?   Will we stand idly by and let the world go to hell?

The historical greats are gone!  We can’t sit back and pay our way through.  We must pray, fast and live godly lives to push and pull our family and friends to God.  Matthew 9:31 shows us that those who know God spread his news all over the region.  What are you spreading? Who are you spreading it to?   It doesn’t matter how people look or how they dress.  It doesn’t matter who they are or how deep they are in sin.  If you “know” God then you know that he is able to deliver from all things.  We are called to be fishers of men, not keepers of the aquarium!

We can’t sit back while the devil goes on a rampage.  We must stand for TRUTH!  To whom much is given, much is required.  The church is designed to draw people.  We must bring the people and allow Jesus to separate the wheat from the tares.  Don’t fail your children and family.  Don’t give them everything and not give them Heaven!  He that winneth souls is WISE!  Be wise and fish with a BIG net!  Catch any and every thing that you can.  Show Jesus that you know Him and that you are available to fish.  Lead all men, women and children that you come in contact with to Jesus.  It’s up to you to carry out a Great Exploit!  It’s up to you to show them how to get to Heaven!

God’s Workmanship

Cornerstone is blessed to have lead pastors like Bill and Tina Godair who bring in the best to enable us to strengthen ourselves and to grow in the things of God.  World renowned relationship experts, Bill and Pam Farrell, were at Cornerstone Campus this past weekend.  On Friday and Saturday, they conducted a relationship conference with dynamic teaching on parenting, marriages, blended families and singles.  Cornerstone was also blessed to have them join us for both the 9am and 11am services on Sunday.

During Sunday’s service, the Farrels explained that each persons life is similar to a movie.  It is an adventure that is bigger than us because God is involved.  Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are “God’s Workmanship”.  We are all vital players.  There are no fillers and no one taking up space.   We all have a role to play and because God created us, we must humbly ask for His help.  The Farrels were excited to announce that God has a BIG plan for each one of us.  He has an adventure for us to live.  We have to be prepared to say “Yes”!  Sure, you can choose to do it on your own and be content with your small usual life.  But why do that when God, your creator, believes that He can accomplish His will and believes that the can do that through YOU!!!!  Why choose your small way when you do something BIG for God.  Are you up to it?  Run at your own pace to live out the adventure that God calls you to do.  Don’t try to be like others and go faster or slower than you were designed to go.  Be consistent and keep paddling forward regardless of the circumstances, your background or your finances.  God is stronger than statistics.  You do not have to repeat the way you were brought up.  If you give Jesus a chance He will give you an “Adventure”.  God moved the Farrel’s from the pit to the pulpit, and He is faithful to move you to higher places as well.  Don’t get fatigued doing good.  Don’t give up, don’t quit.  We make our choices and our choices make us.  We don’t accidentally get better. Choose to be better.  We are God’s workmanship.  We were created by the best.  Are you up for the adventure?   Will you say “Yes”?

Defeat the “Faith” Killer

Pastor Godair encouraged the packed Event Center to be strong and of good courage during Sunday’s services.  He referenced Joshua 10:23 as he compared the 5 kings to our five senses.  He reminded us to not be afraid or dismayed, because “Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the World.”

God wants to place EVERY enemy in our lives under our feet.  It doesn’t matter what we see, feel, hear or smell.  We must quit feeling sorry for ourselves and for our families and stand and give God praise.  There is nothing that the devil can do to steal our praise.  Does our situation rule us or are we ruling it?  It is not enough to knock the devil down; we must confront and subdue him.  We must CONQUER him!!!!   The five kings represent our faith fight.  Refuse to let the five senses rule as kings of your heart.  Do not receive every negative word that you hear.  It doesn’t matter if something is good or bad.  Know whom you believe!  Things will not always look, sound or feel good.  Keep walking in spite of what you see.  Everything will be okay when you turn to your 6^th sense……Faith!   Do not be fear driven.  Be Purpose Driven.  The five senses are five killers unless you put the enemy under your feet.  The enemy comes in various forms to kill dreams….to kill your faith.  You must defeat the faith killer and place the enemy under your feet just as Joshua did with the five kings.  Romans 16:20 tells us that the God of Peace will CRUSH satan under our feet.  Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that our Lord knows and declares plans for us.  He plans for us to prosper and not be harmed.  He plans to give us hope and a future.  So it is up to you to decide.  Will you conquer the killer who is after your faith!  Will you stand strong praising, believing and trusting in God?  In whom do you believe?

Your Plan or God’s?

How do you look at your ministry? How do you view your Pastors? Do you see them as holy men and women of God? Do you look at their abilities?  Do you look to them for instructions?
 
Sunday’s service was designed to get the people of God thinking. Pastor Godair ministered from Ephesians 4:11-15 and encouraged everyone to complete self evaluations. God himself calls and sets apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers within the body of believers to equip and build up the saints. He warns us not to be tossed around with trickery and to be careful of the cunning and craftiness of men.  He encourages us to listen to the truth that is spoken in love and enables us to grow in Him.

God calls and sets His house for his people.  Nothing takes the place of going to the house of God for instruction.  God places a set man over the house and gives them wisdom beyond their years.  Society has molded many into a microwave mentality where they expect things to be created immediately.  We sometimes think God is a microwave.  We often pray for a miracle and then sit and wait.  When you ask God for a miracle, many times He releases a plan.    Will you be in the house and obedient to your called leaders to receive them?  What do you do when you need to touch heaven and can’t.  God has placed leaders to get you where you need to be.  God knows that we need leaders who will stand and not be afraid.  You need your leaders to help release God’s plan for your miracle.  Cornerstone IS  a “Blessed” house! However, you must realize that God has placed leaders here to be more than financial blessings.  You can’t pick and chose what areas of your life you’ll accept instruction.  The same God reigns over all and has a plan for every aspect of your life.  Many don’t understand the instructions given, but they understand the biblical principle that God will direct you.  Quit trying to figure or help God out!  When Joshua needed a miracle of conquest, God gave him a plan (Joshua 6:3).  Joshua followed the plans and the walls of Jericho came down.  You can’t come and sit and expect the walls to fall.  When you obey the voice of God the walls will fall.   Naaman was instructed to wash 7 times in the Jordan River when he needed a miracle of healing.  Elisha sent a messenger with the plan…..the instructions.  Healing through God may not have manifested if he had not obeyed the plan instructed by God’s called (2 Kings 5:10).

Trials and situations will come, but  Blessings and Breakthroughs will follow them!  God tells us that you are wise to follow holy people.   Listen to God’s instructions.  Do whatever He tells you to do.  He has a plan for you.  Why would he place Pastors in your life to bypass them?  Moses told Pharaoh that he was not there based on his own abilities.  He was there because of I AM’s promise.  God didn’t just call and appoint leaders in the Old and New testaments of the bible.  He calls and appoints today.  He continues to release miracles through His detailed plans and instructions.  It’s your choice!  Will you follow God’s plan, guided by His called leaders or will you follow the cunning craftiness of men and design your own plan?
